Willow Oak Library & Humanities Room

The Library

Willow Oak has always had books on hand as reference in regard to our numerous programs. The recent move to 301 5th Avenue West has provided us with space to specialize and expand a collection of published materials.

A music library is located in the studio area, and fiber arts references are housed in the fiber arts classroom on our lower level. A new humanities room on the ground floor is near the fine arts gallery and classroom. We have an excellent selection of fine arts references and children’s books.

Donations: As we expand the humanities library we gratefully accept your donations of volumes which increase out offerings in the following areas: gardening, cooking, design/architecture, period anthologies of literature, philosophy, mythology and historical anthologies. Music, fine arts and artisan (crafts) books are always welcome. (Note: we cannot use standard textbooks, recipes, or catalogs.)

The Humanities Room is a quiet area available for reading, study, working on your novel or waiting for someone participating in a Willow Oak class or workshop. Book clubs and writers groups are welcome to contact us concerning a reservation to use the room. Come by and ask for a tour! – Tony Cowan
