Steve Daly has been a professional in the music business for 13 years. He has recorded with New Orleans Blues royalty Irma Thomas and Little Freddie King, alongside country legend Willie Nelson, and some of the best modern storytellers Ian Noe and Luke Bell. Touring has taken him to 49 of 50 states as well as throughout the European continent playing arenas with Rodney Atkins and Miranda Lambert, opening marathon tours with The Dirt Drifters and Alex Williams, and packing clubs with sold out crowds working with Ian Noe. He has worked a number of times at The Grand Ole Opry with Sirius Outlaw Country DJ and independent country rock artist Elizabeth Cook.

Being a self-taught musician, Steve has done deep dives into early blues, and the traditional country songbook and has worked diligently on deciphering the harmonic and rhythmic structure of the roots of American music. His influences range from Mississippi John Hurt, to James Burton; from Howlin’ Wolf, to Roy Buchanan; from Norman Blake, to Duane Allman. He can teach the groundwork of bluegrass flatpicking, Piedmont Blues and beyond fingerpicking, traditional to modern Blues, traditional and modern Country, open tuning guitar, acoustic and electric slide guitar, and strumming The Great American Songbook. He has had 6 years worth of professional teaching experience successfully helping students of all ages and prior skill level reach their goals on the guitar.
