Finding Water: The Art of Perseverance book by Julia Cameron | discussion facilitated by Susan Ernst
In Finding Water, Julia Cameron offers guidance on weathering the periods in an artist’s life when inspiration has run dry. This book published in 2006, provides wisdom and tools for tackling some of the greatest challenges artists face. Each chapter is dedicated to uncovering the ingredients for optimism, reality, support, balance, autonomy, resolve, resilience, truth, perspective, safety, discipline, and perseverance – all necessary for the continued creative journey in life and art.
Whether you are a writer, musician, visual artist, or other creative, the lessons and exercises in this book will encourage you to keep going. We will meet together once a month for the year to share what we are learning from the exercises.
Wednesdays, 6:30 – 8:30 PM | $75 (one-time registration payment)
Session 1: Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, then the 4th Wed of each month except for November & December (meeting Nov. 20 & Dec. 18).
