Leatherwork Masterclass

The primary goal of this class is to have each student complete a leather carry/storage case suitable for a handgun or other small, valuable items. To complete the project, the participants will learn and utilize a variety of skills which will include the following: pattern creation, selection of proper materials for a leather project, stamping of leather, dying or coloring leather, sealing and protecting leather, installation of a zipper in a project to include building the zipper from its component parts, lining a leather project with other materials, leather gluing techniques, hand stitching of leather and other materials used to create the project, and edge finishing. 
 
Upon completion, the student will have completed a leather case suitable to protect a handgun or other small valuables during storage or transporting.
